Reflection:

After visiting Lincoln’s Frequency Festival, we had to create another online story using ‘Storify’. Using this tool, we would collect and organise all of the image content from all forms of social media like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc. that was taken on the festival route. The content we used would then have to be organised into a format of our choosing to develop a visual narrative of the event. The ability to collate all forms of popular social media content into one presentation like format was interesting to me and arguably more effective in terms of visual effects than the tool we used in the previous task ‘Oydyssey.js’

Evaluation:

Using Storify for this task was particularly beneficial since the story is presented in a timeline-like format. This made it easier to document our whole journey and to describe the locations of where the images were taken. After that, you could simply pull content from social media sites efficiently using a sidebar and could then go on to reorganizing them into a certain order. Text could also be added anywhere to the story. In this case, I used it to describe the art installations in detail and also to state my thoughts about them, for example, if I thought they were effective and representative of the theme of the festival.
