Individual Frames (56-64)
Reflection:
Task 5 was centred on collective intelligence and animation; focusing primarily on adapting individual stills from stock footage using photoshop. At the end of the task we would collate all the images we worked on and place them in a correct chronological order. We were responsible for editing the images we were assigned and the content that was produced using them. Initially, the first attempts at editing were basic, with mainly colourful traces to make the images seem more active and appealing. It later progressed to larger drawings of anything we thought of and even smaller animations of certain frames.
Evaluation:
My response to this task includes the 8 images I was assigned to edit and the completed animation including all the edited frames from the group. This task was quite an open task in terms of what to submit. As a result, the frames I produced are completely reinvented, whether that be through the use of simple traces or more abstract drawings. Painting using Photoshop was particularly effective, allowing users to trace around the outlines of objects in a rough or smooth style. To spend more time on this task would result in more refined frames, although I was attempting to produce a more ‘rough’ look to my images.
